Meet the Team
Allison Jones
I am from Brick, NJ and a graduate from the University of Tampa with a bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics.
I have been tutoring Mathematics for 5 years to students ranging from 5 to 25 years old.
Subjects I tutor: Kindergarten - 8th grade math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, and Linear Algebra
I started tutoring because I wanted every student to have a chance to love math instead of being intimidated by it. I love seeing my students' face light up when they are able to solve a problem by themselves or they finally understand a concept that they have struggled with for so long.
Kelsey Buonodono
I am from Amesbury, MA and earned my Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Tampa with minors in Physics and Mathematics.
I have 6+ years of tutoring experience, 2 years of teaching experience, and 2 years of peer mentor experience. I have experience working with students ranging from ages 5 to 40 in multiple subjects
Subjects I tutor: All Elementary-High School Math, Biology I & II, Anatomy and Physiology, Neuroanatomy, Calculus I, Calculus II, Statistics & Biostatistics, Biochemistry, and Medical Terminology
I started tutoring because I fell in love with the subject of Human Anatomy & Physiology and wanted to help others feel the same way. I feel that education should never be a "one size fits all" approach, and every student deserves a unique experience catered to their learning style. I take the time to get to know each of my students in order to create a learning environment that supports their specific needs.
KYlee Karpowich
I am from Ilion, NY and I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a Biology minor at the University of Tennessee.
I have been devoted to helping others with their education for the past 4 years, ages ranging from 16 to 21 years old.
Subjects I tutor: All Elementary school Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience and Neuroanatomy.
My journey in helping students began with empathy for the challenges they face in complex subjects. I am driven by a deep desire to provide guidance and support. Being a helping hand and witnessing their transformation from confusion to clarity inspires me! I aim to share my knowledge in a nurturing environment for academic growth.

Ilana Schachter
I attended Cornell University and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. Then, I attended Oregon Health and Science University for my dietetic internship.
I have been tutoring both in person and virtually for the past five years. I really enjoy connecting and relating to my students because it helps facilitate a more comfortable environment for students to make mistakes and learn from them. I am extremely patient, compassionate, and understanding. I have worked with a variety of students and feel as though tutoring is extremely individualized especially because everyone learns differently.
Subject I tutor: All Elementary - Middle School Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Physics.
My goal is to find out how to best support each student. I have led my own SAT summer class for a group of students where I created lessons and PowerPoints. It was a very successful class. In my free time, I love cooking, traveling, watching movies, and being outside.
Kendall Jenkins
I am originally from upstate New York and I received my B.S. in Biochemistry from Augsburg University in Minneapolis. I am a future graduate student in Chemistry at Colorado State University beginning Fall 2024.
I have 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Subject I tutor: High School Mathematics and Sciences, General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, Quantitative and Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Algebra, and Calculus I.
I developed a passion for teaching and tutoring after connecting with my research mentor during undergrad. The way he inspired me to learn demonstrated how powerful teaching can be. We need more passionate, caring people, like me, in the field. My dream is to end up in academia after graduate school so I can continue practicing the tools and empathy that I learned and received during my journey.
